The Western Mustangs track and field team continued their impressive start to the year at the Bob Vigars Season Opener at Thompson Arena on November 29th, 2014, with 23 Mustangs achieving personal bests at the meet.

The Canadian Interuniversity Sport student-athletes announced last month (Oct. 14) as Top Eight Academic All-Canadians for the 2013-2014 season were honoured in Ottawa, on Monday morning.

Second Team All-Canadian Amanda Truelove led the Mustang women to an overall fifth place in team standings.

Western Mustangs women's cross country team members Amanda Truelove and Melissa Caruso were both named OUA all-stars as the league announced this year's all-star teams and major award winners earlier this afternoon.

The Western Mustangs women's cross country team placed second, while the men's team finished sixth, at the OUA Cross Country Championships Saturday at Fort Henry in Kingston.

Four Western Mustangs teams are listed in their respective sports' national rankings this week as football, women's soccer, women's cross country, and men's hockey are all listed in this week's Canadian Interuniversity Sport Top 10.

The women's team claimed first place as the Mustangs cross country team competed in the 23rd Annual 2014 Mustang Open, held at Gibbons Park on Thursday, October 9.

Canadian Interuniversity Sport proudly announced Tuesday the student-athletes selected as Top Eight Academic All-Canadians for the 2013-2014 season. The elite group will be honoured at Rideau Hall in Ottawa later this fall, on November 17.
