Second Team All-Canadian Amanda Truelove led the Mustang women to an overall fifth place in team standings.

Western Mustangs women's cross country team members Amanda Truelove and Melissa Caruso were both named OUA all-stars as the league announced this year's all-star teams and major award winners earlier this afternoon.

The Western Mustangs women's cross country team placed second, while the men's team finished sixth, at the OUA Cross Country Championships Saturday at Fort Henry in Kingston.

The women's team claimed first place as the Mustangs cross country team competed in the 23rd Annual 2014 Mustang Open, held at Gibbons Park on Thursday, October 9.
